The DrumStar KIT1 meets the needs of students, musicians, record producers and music enthusiasts interested in drums. Our kit is designed to learn, practice, perform and record drums with the same physical bodily motions of a standard drum kit. DrumStar isn't aiming to be a replacement of a full size kit, it is just the best scaled down innovation of a standard drumset offered on the planet, today.
The 3000mAh Battery on a DrumStar KIT1 lasts about 12 hours with consistent use. Our DrumStar Wireless Foot Pedals last about 20 hours each. So, once you play longer than we can power it, let us know and we can make some improvements!
The Drumstar pads are coated with 3mm of silicone rubber with a medium to soft shore hardness, making them very quiet, but still giving some bounce to your sticks. We had not not intended to make DrumStar silent, we just dont want you to bother anyone when youre wilding out. When comparing to competitor products such as acoustic drums, electronic drums and portable electronic drums, DrumStar's noise is astronomically lower in dB. More relative to an AKA MPC, Maschine, style beat pads.
All the pads are removable and the stands are collapsable making it easy to travel with. Besides that the Drumstar weighs less than 6 pounds, and fits straight into a backpack or our carrying case.
The Drumstar is compatible with any recording software you would normally use and connects to IOS, Android, Mac and PC operating systems.
Absolutely. In fact, its far more optimal to learn how to play Drums on DrumStar than a real kit for various reasons. To begin with, the DrumStar kit is a far more intimate experience than a standard drum kit, therefore, someone learning drums will not worry much about who they are bothering around them. The KIT1 prides on its a velocity sensitive pads, so one can really explore the incredibly dynamic range which in turn realistic performance.
The only relative con is that DrumStar is a small scale kit so essentially the complicated rudiments are not designed to be performed on DrumStar. However, the way "RoccSticks"
